Yes, I know it's been what? Forever? Since I last posted something.
Yeah well the reason to that is being because nothing interesting is happening. Come the end of March (which is coming very soon) there'll be lots of talk and posting. Not to mention that I'll be going to see my cousins over Spring Break which will have lots of talk and pictures there to (cause we're going to Six Flags!). And finally meeting one of my friends I haven't seen in such a long long long long time!
So today?
What happened today that made me write so diligently here?
I'll tell you. Math Counts.
Yes. I, Jessie, has been asked to attend Math Counts. No joke.
Now stop laughing. It was really fun. Even though I did really bad on the test... it was still really fun. I got to miss a whole day of school and spend it at the U of U... and doing math.
In th end my score was 6/120.
Yes you may laugh now.
But whatever. It's the experience that counts right?
And anyways the people in my team... well see all the other girls in their team were eliminated so they needed two more girls so they picked me and my friend so I hadn't been "trained" shall we say. If I had been training and studying-- oh you know that I would have rocked that.
And on another note since I haven't really mentioned it... about Federation.
Yes can you believe it?
I thought I totally messed that up.
I thought I started an octave to high and stumbled over my notes.
But it was a grand piano.
And compared to my piano well I guess I wasn't used to it because guess what rating I got?
SUPERIOR!
So that put me in a good mood.
Yep.
But Math Counts score brought me down...
Oh well.
Next in line is the Science Fair.
You'll be hearing from me about that.
But you'll probably hear about California and Six Flags first.
Ciao for now!
Welcome. Read on your own risk.

Drop dead tired
Hello and welcome again.
Nothing exciting has been happening around here lately. The History Fair is on March 31st and the Science Fair is on the 26th and 27th so that'll be fun. I can't wait to see who goes on. It'll be exciting. For History Fair I get to go to school when there is no school for the Regional competition and then for Science Fair I get to miss a day of school. Yay! I guess they kind of make up for each other. Also Federation for piano is coming up this Saturday. I'll tell you how it goes but I already know. I haven't been practicing because of dance and I don't know why they decided to put my in Federation but I guess I am. And you know what? It's probably going to suck. Oh well. Piano is fun I love it.
Anyway I just was reading one of my friends myspace's profiles (because yes I do have a myspace, but I don't talk to strangers mind you) and I stumbled upon this little thing she put in her profile and I loved it. I'm going to put it here for you to read because I know it will touch your heart like it touched mine =]

Heavenly Father, help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in traffic last night is a single mother who worked nine hours that day and is rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry and spend a few precious moments with her children.
Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man who can't make change correctly is a worried 19-year-old college student, balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of not getting his student loans for next semester.
Remind us, Lord, that the scary looking bum, begging for money in the same spot every day (who really ought to get a job!) is a slave to addictions that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares.
Help us to remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slow through the store aisles and blocking our shopping progress are savoring this moment, knowing that, based on the biopsy report she got back last week, this will be the last year that they go shopping together.
Heavenly Father, remind us each day that, of all the gifts you give us, the greatest gift is love. It is not enough to share that love with those we hold dear. Open our hearts not to just those who are close to us, but to all humanity. Let us be slow to judge and quick to forgive, show patience, empathy and love.

Starry Starry Night
So today I'm really really busy, but I haven't posted anything so here I am. Yesterday was the Starry Starry Night Dance Concert, you should have seen my face. I had to put black eyeliner around my lips and then paint it with red lipstick and then put glitter everywhere. If you've ever seen The Wizard of Oz my mouth looked like Dorothy's shoes. My eyes were caked with make up and to add an affect- fake eyelashes. I swear there was like 4 different eyeshadows and 2 eyeliners on my eyes alone. And then bronzer, foundation and blush. Geez and taking it off was the hard part. I was dancing yesterday from 11:45-9:00. I didn't go home once either. Talk about life of a dancer. And now I have so much homework to do. Because tomorrow on Monday I have dance class from 4:00-8:30 and I can't leave homework to that day.
Here's me at the recital not practicing my dances-

Look it's my closeup!! See my shiny red lips and fake eyelashes? Gyah. I think I ended up swallowing most of that glitter.
Oh and on another note, on Friday me and some of the girls from my dance studio went to BYU and watched the Cougarettes dance. They were amazing. Just looking at them makes me think... well I got a long way to go.
Here's my life:
If you have ever watched a dance performed and muttered "wow" under your breath. If you have ever set foot in a studio and felt at home. If you have ever felt a feeling or emotion, and longed to express it using your body. If music and rhythm reaches you on such an emotional level that you can't help but put that emotion into creative movement. If you have ever worked so hard, just to see the other team win, but knew you performed your absolute best. If you have ever willingly applied a tube of bright red lipstick and smiled the cheesiest smile you could muster. You are a dancer. This is your life.
Just so you know I spend 15 hours a week in my dance studio. Dance studio? First home. Where I sleep? Second home.
Well I really have to do homework and stop procrastinating.
Updating later!
Ciao for now.
